Greg, who today is an accomplished photographer and writer, has put together a solid hands-on workshop, complete with models, stylists and a terrific opportunity to build your portfolio.
Taking place in downtown Chicago, Oct. 9 through 11, this workshop will have it all! Bride and Groom models, male and female senior models, critiquing, learning new and unique ways to shoot in the nicest of areas and our favorite - the worst of areas.
A hair stylist and make-up artist will be on hand to ensure that each and every shoot is unique. Here's an opportunity to get your creative juices flowing with downtown Chicago as your backdrop. If you are looking to make your portfolio stand out - this is the perfect opportunity.

Friday October 9th : The weekend will start in afternoon on Friday with a get to know each other session where Greg will discuss your studio profile, marketing and today's photographic trends and developing your personal signature image. Also, to help get the creative juices flowing for the weekend, the meet and greet will end with a personal critique of your current work, followed by a welcome dinner.
Saturday October 10th Shooting and instruction all day with our Bride & Groom (including night shooting!!!)
Sunday October 11th Critiquing from previous days shoot, Shooting and instruction all day with our seniors. The weekend will conclude with a unwind session (believe me, you will need it!).

Greg, Brandi, and Juli from Schrader Photography are simply the best. I went to a January bridal show with 2 things in mind... talk to my dress girl and to talk to the ceremony/reception site people. I was having my wedding on Mackinac Island and I had in my mind that I would just book with vendors that were from up north. And then I walked by Schrader Photography's booth and saw the amazing pictures. They took my breath away and made me stop right in my tracks. I spoke with Greg and Brandi, and was immediately drawn in again by their outgoing personalities. Greg was full of energy and that was right up my alley. After talking for a while, my mom and I walked away needing to talk by ourselves for a minute, but I had to rush back to make sure he hadn't booked my date! I don't usually make snap decisions, and we booked on the spot!
From that moment on, I felt like I was the only client that they had and each and every one of my questions, concerns, and ideas was addressed immediately. We did an engagement shoot in the early spring. My fiance and I were unsure of how it was going to go, having never done anything like that before, but we were put at ease at once by Greg, Brandi, and Juli, making sure we were comfortable and felt beyond special. It was a wonderful morning and our pictures were amazing. (By the way we got our proofs very quickly... especially compared to my other friends whose photographers take many months to get their pictures to them!)
On to our wedding day... ... it RAINED all day long... AND we wanted to shoot all over outdoors on Mackinac Island- I was thinking that we would have to change plans because of the photo equipment, but NO! Greg, Brandi, and Juli couldn't wait to shoot outside and I know it had to be tricky keeping the camera dry, but there was NEVER any complaints from Schrader Photography or did I ever feel like I was "making" him take our pictures. They captured the BEST moments from our whole day! Me getting ready, "bride" shots, seeing my dad for the first time, my groom and I meeting for the first time, shots with our wedding party, family, and EVERY shot AND more than I could imagine. (I even have a niece that NO ONE can get to smile for a picture and he captured THE BEST photos of her with huge smiles!)
They made us feel calm when our nerves were getting to us, carried supplies, fixed hair, jewelry, helped kept my dress CLEAN, (which isn't easy on a wet, poopy:) Mackinac Island), and made us feel like ROYALTY the WHOLE day!!
I think my girlfriend said it best: "I wish THEY were my photographers...
all my photographer did was TAKE PICTURES!" You should definitely choose
Schrader Photography. They DO Photograph Like Rockstars!
